About Space City Bagels

Bagels, sandwiches, coffee, and more with dairy-free and vegan options!

Located at 2155 Durham Dr #101, Houston, TX 77007, Space City Bagels operates as a bagel shop serving Houston in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 6:30 am–2 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Space City Bagels at (832) 991-8199; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is spacecitybagels.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Houston follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

All right. Let's start plain, and simple: please, come here. There are not enough bagel places of this caliber in Houston. I devoured the lox and shmear (or schmear depending on your Yiddish). More details for those who care: the crispness of the bagel (which it seems that they bake here) is very Houstonian. Traditionally, I know one does not toast fresh bagels; however, in Houston, it seems that they do--and it is delicious. Secondly, the lox and schmear is not something that I will get again (there was not enough lox, and I am used to onions, and capers on a lox bagel). I, however, can not overstate how good the bagels are, so I will be coming back for the bagel. Service: Professional, but welcoming. I had never been here, and they walked through the menu, and the process. Food: Again, the bagel is amazing. After eating the default lox sandwich, I ended up doing a custom bagel to get the lox sandwich that I am used to having (a bit expensive, but worth it for a nice treat--18 with tip). I seriously got a second bagel right after the first: it was that delicious. Images are of the second bagel. Only negative: This is a morning place. It closes (on Wednesdays at least) at 2. I

Me and my boyfriend used to love space city, but it has really gone downhill in the past year. The prices have gone up & the quality of the food is really bad now: no everything seasoning (see photo), hard & discolored eggs, bacon all on one side, one drop of siracha mayo now. Really sad to see - my recommendation is to just go to bagel bobs at this point they taste 100x better & are cheaper

I found this place to be pretty good overall. The food is great, and I really love buying the individual bagels. They’re huge, fresh, and really tasty. The only issue we had was when my husband’s order was made incorrectly. When he called about it, the interaction felt rude and wasn’t handled in the friendliest way. However, when he returned to the store, they corrected the order and even gave him an extra bagel for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. Despite that experience, the bagels are honestly the main reason I keep coming back. They’re delicious, and I’ll definitely continue ordering them, usually to go.

I love space city!! The salt bagel is so good and I tried the sriracha mayo. It is so good on a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. I also tried the maple pecan latte and it was so good!

I live in Cypress but happened to be in the area this AM and searched up some coffee nearby… this was closest. What a find ✨ except now I’m going to have to make the drive way more often bc wow, yum. I was greeted by the numerous employees upon entry despite them hustling and they were all so nice. Patient with me bc I had no idea what to order and helped me make a decision which was to get the smoked salmon bagel 😋 ahhhmazing. Got it on a plain bagel + candied jalapeño cream cheese and I can’t wait to go back to get another 🤣 also got a lavender cortado that hit the spot!! And my most favorite part. After I paid, I saw some treats I’ve literally been dreaming about that fed my childhood nostalgia… essentially altoid sours 😭🤩 sooo moral of the story you shouldn’t listen to any of the bad reviews. In the 10 min or less I was there they were popping w/ customers and everyone was in and out. Go!! You won’t regret it 😋 happy find this am.
